We offer all disabled customers an additional free ticket for a carer to accompany them to Christmas at Kew, if required. Carer tickets are provided with the understanding that the carer is willing and able to assist the access customer throughout their entire stay at Christmas at Kew.
Carers must arrive and leave Christmas at Kew with the qualifying visitor and must be able to perform all requirements as needed, including assistance during an evacuation or other emergency. People attending on a carer ticket must be attending with a qualifying visitor who has a valid Christmas at Kew ticket already purchased and should be over the age of 18 unless otherwise agreed with the Access Team.
When you arrive you will be asked to produce documentation to validate your carer ticket. Accepted documentation includes:
- Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16
- Personal Independent payments for those aged 16-64
- Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of award
- Incapacity Benefit book
- A Blue or Orange badge
- BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI)
- International Proof of Disability
You will need to agree to bring at least one of the above in order to have your ticket validated. Please select one ticket per carer required - only one carer per qualifying ticket. Please contact info@kew.org if you need to discuss your access needs further.
